New Hampshire Beaches:
Milton Town Beach The principal bodies of water are Milton Three Ponds, a chain of lakes providing a boat launch and public access to the Town Beach.
Ellacoya State Park Ellacoya State Park is located in Gilford on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake. The 600-foot long sandy beach, with views across the lake to the Sandwich and Ossipee mountains, is a great place to spend with the family for a full day of swimming and picnicking.

Jenness Beach (in Rye, New Hampshire)Jenness State Beach is a great family location with an Atlantic ocean-front setting - its sandy beach is ideal for swimming and picnicking. Amenities at the beach include a bathhouse.
Wallis Sands State Beach, offers oceanfront swimming, views of the Isles of Shoals, and a sandy beach that families especially enjoy. Beach amenities include a store, bathhouses, hot and cold showers, and lifeguards. The beach is open weekends from mid-May to mid-June and daily from mid-June to Labor Day. The admission fee is $5.00 per car on weekdays; $8.00 per car on weekends.
The Isles of Shoals, Ten miles out, these nine rocky islands are divided along the border of New Hampshire and Maine. The Isles were a key destination for European fisherman before the Pilgrims landed. Today they are surrounded in misty legends made famous by island poet Celia Thaxter. (picture is of White Island)

Long Sands Beach and Short Sands Beach, York, ME
Long Sands Beach – As the name implies this is a long sandy beach with designated surfing area. Metered parking is available along Route 1A for the entire length of beach. Restrooms available at the Bathhouse near Oceanside Ave. Lifeguards on duty end of June to Labor Day.
Short Sands Beach – Sandy beach with gentle surf. Metered parking in the lot off Rt 1A. Showers, changing area and toilets. Easy to walk to shops and amusements adjacent to beach. Lifeguards on duty end of June to Labor Day.
Cape Neddick "Nubble" Light, one of the most popular lighthouses in Maine, was built in 1879 after an order to establish a lighthouse in York, Maine was signed by President Rutherford B. Hayes. The 40 foot tower sits adjacent to a six-room Victorian main house on an island at the Cape Neddick Peninsula. The lighthouse and grounds are not open to the public.
Ogunquit Beach – Soft white sand and warm surf. Popular with families. Accessible by trolley and several parking areas. Restrooms and snack bars. Considered one of the prettiest 3.5 miles of peninsula beach in the country. Lifeguards.
Harbor Beach (in York, Maine)
Wells Beach – Parking stickers available at Town Hall. Wonderful, long, sandy beach. Toilet facilities and lifeguards.
Crescent Beach - Lesser-known section of beach located between Wells and Moody. Parking at Gold Ribbon Avenue lot, from Webhannet Drive. Lifeguards.
